Precise timber levelling with Spax
- Seamless and accurate adjustment: You level timber battens and substructures with continuous precision without needing additional packing shims or spacing wedges.
- Fast drive without splitting: The specialised 4CUT tip drives smoothly without pre-drilling while effectively preventing timber splitting near the board edges.
- Secure bit engagement: The T-STAR plus T30 drive recess prevents cam-out and ensures efficient power transfer for controlled fastening every time.
With the Spax adjustment screw 6,0 x 60 mm, you align timber battens, subframes, and cladding with seamless, millimetre precision on wooden substrates. You can leave packing shims and wedges behind: drive the screw fully into place and fine-tune your spacing simply by reversing it slightly. Thanks to the 4CUT point, driving is smooth without pre-drilling in softwood, effectively preventing wood splitting near edges. The t-star plus T30 recess prevents cam-out and ensures solid power transfer on every drive. Finished with a protective Wirox coating, it delivers dependable corrosion resistance for interior framing and sheltered outdoor builds.
Product description
- Optimum countersinking of the screw head thanks to special flat head
- Fast and reliable processing with little effort (more screws on one battery charge)
- Stepless levelling of wooden substructures on solid wood substrates, wood-based materials and boards
- Effectively reduces the risk of wood splitting, even at small edge distances
- Without pre-drilling (depending on the type of wood)
With a wooden substructure consisting of battens and bearing battens on wooden substrates, it comes down to millimetre-precise alignment of the battens. If you previously had to make do with washers or wedges, you can now save yourself the trouble with the SPAX adjusting screw.
By screwing the screw all the way in, the screw head is completely countersunk. When you then turn the screw slightly to the left, the holding ribs located under the screw head clamp into the wood and the batten is lifted off the substrate over the desired distance.
Our set screw also offers our own SPAX features, such as the T-STAR plus power gripping system, the 4CUT and the wave profile. The flat head allows optimal countersinking and offers high pull-through resistance. Our WIROX coating ensures that SPAX adjustment screws can be used both indoors and outdoors, as long as they are not exposed to the weather.
For you, this means: easy and millimetre-precise levelling of the support slats without wedges - this installation method is extremely time-saving.
